Teddy Roosevelt and Walt Disney

"Do what you can with what you have, where you are, but do it." - Theodore Roosevelt

Barely three months after Roosevelt became President in 1901, Walt Disney was born. One of the 20th century's top innovators, Disney broke new ground in animation, live action movies, and theme parks. He also was a great risk-taker.

No doubt Disney was influenced by Theodore Roosevelt. TR was a risk-taker, and a great innovator himself. After all, TR built the Panama Canal. As President of the New York City Police Board, he created the bureau of detectives. He was always thinking of new ways to make the world a better place.

Years after TR uttered the quote found above, Walt Disney said, "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."

What have you been thinking about?
What have you been talking about?

Are you ready to get started?
Are you ready to do it?
